Fifth Harmony

Fifth Harmony is an American girl group formed in 2012, consisting of members Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei Hamilton, Lauren Jauregui, Allyson Brooke Hernandez and Dinah Jane Hansen. They were formed as a band on the second season of The X Factor, and finished in third place. Following their success, they signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records and L.A. Reid's record label Epic Records, in a joint deal. Fifth Harmony is composed of five singers who met as solo artists during boot camp on the second season of The X Factor U.S. The members of the group are Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, and Camila Cabello. They successfully auditioned as soloists, but failed to progress individually to the judges' homes stage of the competition. They were later formed as a group by Simon Cowell, thus qualifying for the "Groups" category. The group was originally called LYLAS (Love You Like a Sister), but was then changed to 1432 (I Love You Too). On the second live show of the competition, the quintet was finally named Fifth Harmony after Simon Cowell decided that 1432 was unsuitable and that fans should choose a new name.[1] Fifth Harmony finished in 3rd place behind Carly Rose Sonenclar and Tate Stevens, becoming the first group to ever reach the Top 3 of the competition.

Allyson Brooke Hernandez

Allyson Brooke Hernandez was born on July 7, 1993 and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Ally was a premature baby, weighing in at 1 pound and 4 ounces when she was born. Because she came out screaming, which was unusual for prematures, Ally's dad knew she was meant to sing. Ally is Mexican-American. She absolutely loves to sing, God, and people as well. Her biggest influence is Tejano music legend Selena, saying: "She is my favorite artist of all time. Loved her so much." "What I liked was his sweet spirit, cheerful personality." She also mentioned that she wants to have a perfume line and clothing coming out soon. Ally is the oldest of the group but the smallest one (Little Big Sister).

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao was born on March 3, 1997 in Cojimar, Cuba, she's half Mexican. Camila moved to the United States when she was 6 years old. She is known to often have a large bow in her hair. Her mom, Sinuhe, said that instead of a traditional quinceanera party, she wanted to audition for the X-Factor.

Normani Kordei Hamilton

Normani Kordei Hamilton was born on May 31, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, until the arrival of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 which caused her family to move to Houston, Texas where she currently resides. She could sing and dance since four years old. Her main musical influences are Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson. She considered herself as a singer of Soul and Gospel until she was incorporated in a girl group. Hamilton has won a number awards and honors.

Lauren Michelle Jauregui

Lauren Michelle Jauregui was born June 27, 1996 in Miami, Florida. She has grown up around a lot of noisy people. Jauregui said: "My family is the most important thing to me. They are my followers who are my loved ones, and are everything to me." Her favorite artists include Lana Del Rey, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera, who inspired her to sing. She's an outgoing person and describes her styles as hipster. She loves to talk and meet new people, but when it comes to talk on stage: she gets nervous.Lauren is Cuban-American. Her parents are Mike and Clara Jauregui and her two siblings are Taylor and Chris Jauregui.

Dinah Jane Hansen

Dinah Jane Hansen was born on June 22, 1997 and raised in Orange County, California, She has parents of Tongan, Samoan, Fijian and Danish descent. Hansen was exposed to music at an early age. Her mother remembers the first time she heard her sing "Happy Birthday" at only 4 years of age. She sang the National Anthem in public at age 7 in Sacramento, California. Since then she has been singing at various events in Orange County, California. She was introduced to music producers and songwriters, including Pacific Big Dave Icon Management Group (PIMG), Kennedy Mailo, Trey Smoov, MsBrown, and Baby J. Hansen, and sang songs of her idols Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, and Etta James.
